Australian Joint Industry Project (JIP) is seeking expressions of interest from vendors offering game-changing technologies to meet the challenging subsea conditions faced in Australian waters.

The Subsea Equipment Australian Reliability (SEAR) JIP, led by Wood Group Kenny and supported by six operators in Australian waters, targets game-changing technologies aiming towards reducing subsea equipment failures through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Of particular interest are novel coating technologies and materials that will improve the ease of equipment change out and intervention campaigns.
Subsea Test Infrastructure
The technologies will be trialled on subsea test structures deployed in various subsea test locations and water depths around Australia. The testing initiative follows a review of subsea equipment performance to date in Australia and offers vendors a highly collaborative environment to test the performance of their technologies on-site over a number of years.
