Student project is a very good way of exploring new ideas. It is also an unique opportunity to get to know each other better with respect to recruitment of new employees. The NCE Subsea report ‘Enhanced Innovation through closer collaboration between Industry and R&D institutions’, points out student project as an important measure improving R&D competence in the subsea cluster.

Submit Your Proposal by 15 October

Bachelor students (BSc) at Bergen University Collage (HiB) do their main project in the spring semester. Many students are very well suited for a subsea career.

Departments such as mechanical and marine engineering have similar templates and possibilities to suggest projects. Contact information to different institutes and groups are available in the list of different Engineering Categories (link to external site).

The University of Bergen

Master students at the institute of physics and technology at the University of Bergen do their master projects (MSc) over two years. There are a limited number of students and no set date for project proposals. Interested companies are encouraged to contact relevant research groups at the University.

An overview over research areas and educations with associated contact persons are listed in the IFT-matrix (link to external site).

If you are considering an applied PhD, you should consider the Industrial PhD Scheme supported by the Research Council of Norway. Read more about The Industrial PhD Scheme (Nærings PhD) (link to external site).
