Optoelectronic Technical Meeting - Call for Contributions

The 3rd Optoelectronics Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry, will be held in Bergen 8th November 2011. We invite you to submit a presentation proposal by 30th July 2011.

The adoption of Optoelectronics technologies across the oil and gas industry continues to expand.

This meeting provides a useful opportunity for oil and gas industry professionals along with technology developers and providers to keep abreast of developments in this rapidly expanding technology area, as well as allowing networking with academics, researchers and industry professionals active in the area.

The breadth of optoelectronic technologies that may be utilized by the oil and gas industry will be reflected in sessions covering optoelectronics for Downhole, Seabed, Subsea and Surface applications.

Submitting a presentation proposal

Contributions for 20 minute presentations are now being sought. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to the application of optoelectronics to:

  • Production monitoring and optimization
  • Increased oil recovery
  • Subsea processing
  • Flow assurance
  • Subsea communications
  • X-mas trees, manifolds and structures
  • High Pressure High Temperature
  • Sensor networks
  • Reservoir monitoring
  • Inspection, maintenance and repair
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Umbilicals and flow lines

Contributors are invited to submit a brief summary of the proposed presentation (max 200 words) by 30th July 2011 to: vicki.ferguson@fmcti.com
