NCE Subsea arranges several activities meant to contribute to the internationalization of the cluster?s members. As a part of this we invited three companies to participate at our stand during Offshore Europe 2009.

The member companies Amitec, Intermec and Bring have been dedicated a spot at our stand for the purpose of profiling and marketing their companies. Business Region Bergen is present to promote the region, and to show what kind of opportunities Bergen and its central surroundings has to offer.

-It is obvious that knowledge about the subsea cluster in the Bergen region has increased considerably since NCE Subsea exhibited here two years ago, says Trond Olsen, general manager of NCE Subsea. A number of organizations and companies contact us to explore possibilities of cooperation. As for ourselves, we also spend time to contact and meet potential collaborating partners.

-This is also the first time we try out the concept of bringing cluster companies to our stand at an international exhibition. The attempt has proven effective. The different participants are attracting various guests to our stand which results in more influx and even more possibilities for all of us.

On the occasion of Offshore Europe 2009, Innovation Norway and the Norwegian - British Chamber of Commerce hosted a reception titled ?Taste of Norway?. In charge of the cultural feature was Business Region Bergen with the vocal group TAUS. The performance from the Bergen region was very well received by the audience.
