Playful summer meeting with NCE Subsea

Experience - seeing and trying for yourself - is the key to both involvement and increased understanding. During the NCE Subsea summer party on June 21 both partner employees and members will have the opportunity to try out both the subsea simulator and the additional activities at the newly opened Bergen Science Centre VilVite. But apart from adventure, the program will inspire the participants to evaluate Australia and Vietnam as a future market for Norwegian subsea technology.

The Bergen Science Centre opened on May 31. One of the three main pavilions at the centre represents the ocean, focusing on subsea technology and the marine environment. NCE Subsea, together with our main sponsors Aker Kværner Subsea and Oceaneering, is responsible for developing the subsea part of the pavilion.  Bennex, Framo Engineering and Underwater Technology Foundation (UTF) also take part in financing the subsea exhibition, called Teknokvariet.

Australia and Vietnam
The member survey last autumn showed Asia and Australia to be the most interesting export markets for the Bergen region subsea industry. In collaboration with Forum for Internasjonalisation we have therefore invited Harald Nævdal, Innovation Norway?s Commercial Counsellor in Vietnam, to give a presentation on the opportunities in this country. INTSOK?s regional director Håkon Skretting will talk about Australia as a subsea market.

NCE Subsea one year
The summer meeting will mark the end of almost one year in business for NCE Subsea. Subsequently it is natural that General Manager Trond Olsen takes the opportunity to give a summary of activities we have pulled through, results we have achieved and plans ahead. In this sequence members are free to share their views on the prospects for the development of the association.

The evening will conclude with dinner and drinks.
