We are proud to be able to cooperate with our partners Macaé City Hall and Associação Comercial e Industrial de Macaé (ACIM) – the Association for Commercialization and Industrialization of Macaé in the state of Rio de Janerio.

NCE Subsea keeps connecting to the most attractive organizations in Brazil in order to connect subsea related companies, R&D- and educational institutions in the two largest offshore markets in the world, Norway and Brazil.

As for the two NCE Subsea MoUs signed earlier this week, the objective is to:

  • Collaborate in promoting technological cooperation and matchmaking between subsea related enterprises of both organizations, primarily small and medium sized companies (SMEs), by supporting innovative projects in which there is allowed the participation of research institutions.
  • Coordinate the use of their own mechanisms for promoting and funding, in order to facilitate partnerships between Brazilian and Norwegian subsea related enterprises in the development of new technologies, products, processes or services.
  • Implement actions to support increasing competitiveness and the internationalization of subsea related SMEs in Norway and Brazil through international cooperation and technology transfer.
  • Collaborate in promoting the National Innovation Systems of both countries and exchange experiences in managing innovation and managing public and private resources for innovative companies in Brazil and Norway.

Macaé City Hall and ACIM will become partners in NCE Subsea’s bi-lingual Subsea Index, a matchmaking database to be launches in Vitoria Brazil on Thursday September 20. They urge their members and affiliated companies related to the subsea industry to register in the database.

Macaé is the capitol of oil and gas operations in Brazil. The region sees growth unparalleled in Brazil, with numerous Norwegian, Brazilian and international companies establishing themselves in the region. There are great business opportunities for companies with operational experience and technologies for IRM and aftermarkets.

About ACIM,  Macaé City Hall and NCE Subsea

ACIM was founded in 1914 and has over 440 associated and partner companies based in Macaé, the main hub for offshore oil and gas operations in Brazil. The objective is to assist its associates to grow their business through agreements with several institutions. ACIM also promotes events and offer facilities for their associates.

Due to its international insertion, Macaé has the ideal environment to host a technological program called Macaé Technópole - Intelligent City. The program aims to match both academic and market goals, with partnership between academia, entrepreneurs and Macaé City Hall. This sets up a new dynamic to Macaé and surroundings, making the city a technological innovation hub, inducted by the oil and gas industry.
