Fra arrangøren har vi mottatt følgende informasjon;
The Brazilian offshore deepwater focused conference in September 09, ?Subsea Rio?.
The 3 day event features the highly important ?thought-provoking? and ground-breaking Keynote from the CÂMARA DOS DEPUTADOS from Brasilia by Mr. Paulo Cesar Ribeiro Lima, who work on fundamental Brasilian energy issues. It will be of huge value and interest to all potential Operators in this region.
Mr. Lima's Abstract/Pre-Salt Challenges
Paper Title: Petroleum Contracts for Brazilian Pre-Salt Exploration
Description: The recent pre-salt discoveries have changed the Brazilian oil and gas scenario. From poverty to wealth, from self-sufficiency to huge exporting potential, how to get there? Should Brazil keep concession model? Production Sharing Agreement is suitable for Brazilian Pre-Salt exploration? How to "unitize" giant fields that extends to non-contract areas? What should be the State role in Pre-Salt? Is there conflict interests between Petrobras and State? Is the Norwegian Model adequate to Brazil? How to attract heavy investments in order to maximize production? The objectives of the paper is to approach those questions and to propose a new legal framework to maximize the benefits for the country.
Other important presentations come from Anadarko, StatoilHydro, Petrobras, Shell, V&M Tubes, Roxar, Marine Subsea, SBM, Subsea 7, DeepFlex, Acergy, Baker Hughes to name but a few, and I?m pleased detail the link to the full sessions here: http://www.subseario.com/fontcolorFFFF00fontTechnicalProgram/tabid/823/Default.aspx.
Subsea Rio is 15-17 September 09 at the Sheraton Rio Hotel, Leblon, and is focused on getting Brazilian offshore developments on-stream!
It offers direct access to the massive activity for the region, supported even further after Petrobras? announcement some weeks ago of their intentions to continue and expand their plans for future deepwater developments offshore Brazil, of course very much including the vital FPSO sector where we have a special FPSO/Dry Tree Forum taking place and subsea related topics for pre-salt and deepwater development.
It is an extremely focused (around ~4/500 people expected...) event, where that focus is deepwater projects and subsea activity into the future and getting business done. Excellent networking opportunities will be available and so we?re pleased it is so well timed for our deepwater- & subsea-focused clients.
With the further announcement out of Brasil last week indicating a potential US$400 billion spend in 100 projects for offshore production over the next 15 years, the importance of this ?deepwater focused? event increases every day and we?re pleased to advise the event is indeed expanding and that anything ?expanding? in this tough marketplace is very good news.
We have a very strong Advisory Committee including many of the Operators, Contractors and Subsea specialists growing fast in the region and actively working with Petrobras (see: http://www.subseario.com/AdvisoryCommittee/tabid/681/Default.aspx). Make sure you join them and get your piece of the action by exhibiting at ?Subsea Rio?!
The event attracts many of the major deepwater players (operators in other words...) which in turn attracts the other majors players because it focuses on all ?subsea & deepwater? facets: subsea package, FPSs, moorings, risers, subsea umbilicals, pipelines, drilling and the installation side too, plus as mentioned, Petrobras has suggested we include a floater and dry tree session so interest from operators and main contractors has been very strong.
To date we have had a strong response already with StatoilHydro and Anadarko already both confirmed as official ?sponsors? plus exhibition stands reserved by ODI, Schlumberger, Marine Subsea AS, Weltec, ABS, Helix Energy Services, Cameron, Hydratight do Brasil, Huisman Do Brasil, Flexlife Riser Technologies, Hallin Marine, Acute Technologies, Vallourec & Mannesman Tubes, Quest?s Deepwater Database & UTEC Survey.
Subsea Rio also features a evening ?fund-raising? charity dinner that is sponsored by Helix Energy Services and should be an excellent networking evening! Profits will support the worthy Ponto Br Charity Project of the Brazilian Institute for Innovations in Social Health (IBISS) which campaigns against the social exclusion of young people from the violent favela of Vila Alianca in Rio, by offering the opportunity to learn new creative skills. More on this in due course.

Our recommendation is basis the affordable, low-cost ?budget-conscious? package being our special 7.5sq.m booth at $4995 where 1 delegate + 5 Expo Only passes are included. I would also add the additional marketing package (normally $3000 extra) at just $1500 extra. This whole package therefore includes:-
? the promotional booth
? 50% off all additional delegates
? recognized on conference sponsorship website page
? recognized on the conference program/agenda
? recognized on pre and post mailer to attendees
? recognized on post conference proceedings web access
I hope we can firm up an excellent, low-cost presence for your company and look forward to discussing this soon.
