The Research Council targets a time-limited initiative and provides funding to contribute to the restructuring of companies in the supplier industry in the petroleum and maritime sectors. Declining oil prices, and diminished activity levels, have led to increased unemployment and a significant need for restructuring.

Project proposals for activities to restructure a company towards new markets by adapting core technology for utilisation within the scope of activities under the BIA programme are accepted.

Program Details

The Research Council can provide funding from 0.5 – 3 million Norwegian kroner, per project per year for 2–3 years. The amount of funding awarded may comprise maximum 50 per cent of approved project costs, depending on the size of the company.
