The Research Council of Norway and Finep (Brazilian Innovation Agency) have launched the first joint call for innovation projects within the RDI collaboration between Norway and Brazil.

The project shall be carried out by companies from both countries, and small and medium sized enterprises will be given priority. If research institutions are included in the project, this is a positive element.
10 million Norwegian kroner is available as part of the Petromaks2 programme. Go to the call (external site).
This joint call for proposals encompasses the following areas:

Only applicants who have submitted a mandatory project outline by the deadline of 23 March 2016, 13:00 CET are qualified to submit a complete application for the deadline of 25 May 2016.
Target Group for the Joint Call
This joint call for proposals is targeted towards companies or groups of companies that have been officially issued an enterprise number under the Register of Business Enterprises in Norway and that wish to collaborate with at least one Brazilian company on developing expertise and technology for offshore petroleum activity, in both Norway and Brazil. Research institutions in both countries may participate in the project as partners.
A workshop will be hosted in Rio de Janeiro as a preparatory activity for the joint calls between Finep and RCN 1 - 2 March 2016
In cooperation with DNB, GCE Subsea will arrange a breakfast seminar on Brazil 24 Mai 2016 in Bergen. Focus will be on market outlook, business conduct and legal issues related to the current Brazilian bribery case.
