New UTF Subsea Award

The Underwater Technology Foundation would like to use their position in the industry to give some credit to the individuals behind new breakthroughs and innovation. Nominate projects for the new Underwater Technology Foundation Subsea Award.

The Underwater Technology Foundation (UTF) would to share the stories not only with you, but use their partners in Offshore Engineer Magazine to spread the story to the bigger audience outside the halls of the Underwater Technology Conference.

The UTF Subsea Project Award can be given to persons or groups that have
contributed to knowledge and understanding in subsea technology through
new products, services and/or processes. The objective is to tell everyone with
a brilliant idea what it takes to succeed and what all the work resulted in for the
industry. The jury has been appointed by the Underwater Technology Forum Board and consists of valuable UTF partners.

The Jury
  • Dr. Bob Allwood, Chief Executive of the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT)
  • Dr. Helge Hove Haldorsen, President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) 2015
  • Bjørn Søgård, Segment Director, Business Development Subsea and Floaters DNV GL
  • Elaine Maslin, Editor Offshore Engineer Magazine (OE)
  • Vidar Fondevik, Board Member in the Underwater Technology Foundation (UTF)
Please Nominate Projects by 20 April

The call for proposals is open to subsea projects only. Project teams can apply on
behalf of their project. People related to the project are also encouraged to send
proposals. In both cases, valid third party references must be presented.

The first UTF Subsea Project Award will be presented at the Underwater Technology Conference in Bergen 17 - 18 June 2015.
